That means if your construction company does not have qualified drivers and is not DOT compliant, they are not allowed to haul loads exceeding 26,000 pounds and will need to outsource.

When a load needs to be hauled over long distances it can make sense to outsource. Large construction companies can benefit from outsourcing since hauling over long distances takes time and requires knowledge of the different state regulations. Every state and jurisdiction has its own rules for transporting various items. Regulations can range from differing ideas about size load classifications, rules about when front and back escorts are required, and materials that are allowed in a landfill.
